Description
As of the middle of August 2017, officials have declared the wildfire season in British Columbia, Canada the worst in its history, the second worst being in 1958. A province wide state of emergency has just been extended again from Aug.18th until Sept.1st. and who knows after that. In many populated areas, the severity of harmful thick smoke is right off the charts when it comes to monitoring health risks. Record temperatures and very little rain in the forecast for the foreseeable future continues to be a real problem. I took this image from our property on Aug. 11, 2017- silhouetted trees in the foreground as smoke veils the setting sun and the trees that top the distant mountain. At times, one can't even see the mountains or properties fairly close-by.
