Description
Kalamalka Lake is located approximately 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) south of the attractive City of Vernon, British Columbia, Canada. It is 16 Km long, stunning beauty that ends to the south at the picturesque small town of Oyama, a peaceful community in the District of Lake Country. Kalamalka Lake is famous for its gorgeous tropical green waters (more intense in warm weather), which change throughout the year- it is considered one of Canada’s most beautiful lakes. It has 42 Km of shoreline with 10 pristine beaches, perfect for swimming, boating, and fishing. A fantastic rail trail, formerly CN rail tracks now removed, starts just south of Vernon, British Columbia, extending along the entire western shore of the lake and beyond. The rail trail starts in Vernon at Coldstream and extends all the way south to the City of Kelowna, a distance of 52.87 Km or 32.8 miles. The trail is perfect for hiking, running, and biking. Both residents and countless annual visitors alike, love everything about popular Kalamalka Lake situated in the scenic North Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, Canada. Hope you enjoy my collection of Kalamalka Lake views in magnificent surroundings.
Sincere Thanks, Will Borden.

In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.
